Day of Surgery

Please follow your surgeon’s instructions regarding eating and drinking prior to surgery.

Take only medications your physician has instructed, with a small sip of water. Some medications, such as medications taken to control your blood pressure, are very important to take before surgery, the day of your surgery, and the immediate days after your surgery.

Bring your driver’s license and all insurance cards with you. If your insurance company requires a co-pay, please bring some form of payment.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that is big enough to accommodate a large bandage after surgery.

Wear flat comfortable shoes such as slip-on, no high heels.

Do not wear any jewelry (including body piercing), makeup or cologne. Do not bring any valuables with you.

Do not smoke cigarettes, electronic cigarettes or vape the day of your surgery.

You will need to change into a surgical gown.  Our staff will provide a private area to change clothes and prepare for surgery.

If you need to use the restroom when you arrive and there is a chance you may be pregnant, please have the front desk notify the Pre-Op nurse prior to voiding.

Wearing contact lenses is NOT advised. We provide containers for removable dentures and bridgework.

If your child is having surgery, feel free to bring a favorite stuffed animal or security blanket for added assurance.

Outside the surgery center entrance is a drop-off/pick-up area for patient’s convenience. This will allow easy access to the reception area.
